Starting in 1983, Paramount settled on another very popular style, now known as the Standard. The Waterford factory was in full gear and the Paramounts hit yet another great peak. 1988 represented the climax of this period with the 50th Anniversary Paramount. That year, the Paramounts received a special 50th Anniversary head tube decal. In addition, Schwinn released the 50th Anniversary Series, with special gold decals and gold plated fork. The fork was delivered with a velvet back and a numbered certificate.
