Nothing says more about a classic road look than Waterford's wide array of lug designs. Using precision investment-cast lugs, carefully hand silver-brazed, we blend several classic designs with Waterford's state of the art custom heat treated air-hardening tubesets. This gives you the classic look but today's performance.

Waterford's SS22 option incorporates polished versions of several options:
- Waterford low-profile lugset: This lugset put Waterford on the map. The clean, minimalist design communicates subtle power and elegance, while the optional integrated cable guides keep the top and downtube clean of cable guides.
- Waterford 1 1/8" steerer lugset: With the increasing dominance of 1 1/8" steerer tubes, these lugs give you a wide range of options for high-performance front forks.
- Polished stainless steel lugsets: When you want a high-performance jewel, nothing does it like polished stainless steel. Stainless offers plenty of lug strength and durability without the pitting, peeling and corrosion of plated lugs. By avoiding chrome plating, we can select the best heat treated tubing without metallurgical problems, giving you both a classic style and today's speed. Today's stainless lug offerings incorporate head tube extensions, making good fit easier to accomplish.
- Handcarved stainless steel lugs: Carrying through our stainless lug concept, we can also craft custom, hand-carved and even hand built lugs. This lets us bypass many lug angle and head tube extension limitations, while giving us broad styling flexibility.
Applicability: The stainless lugs are available for any 22-series model except where the top tube slopes by more then 3 degrees, such as on the Diva and on the typical Adventure Cycle designs. For the same reason, most sizes below 50 cm may not be available due to improper lug fit-up.
Downtube shift bosses and split brake cable stops are specified with this option. Integrated cable guides are only available on Waterford's low profile lugset.
Scheduling: Stainless lug bikes require an extra 1-4 weeks due to the extra work involved.
